LOCAL MATERIALS AND CRAFTSMANSHIP

In November, we visited Ouled Merzoug and organized meetings with the women and their families. Listening to the aspirations of the newly formed Association des Femmes, carefully surveying the site, searching for local building materials and meeting with local artisans, was the beginning of a communicative research-by-design journey with the common goal of a series of designs for a climate-responsive women's house on the site.
